For the socially challenged

IMG_6053 For those of you that rely on meaningless or irrelevant statistics to keep the conversation going over dinner, today marked a milestone. Subject to confirmation, but I suspect we arrived at the point on our trip farthest from home, as the very exhausted crow flies. We marked the passing of the 4000km point by naming a beach, the 4000 beach, on our GPS.

For those wanting a few more details, we peaked at around 4005km from home. It has taken us around 13500km to get here, and according to “the lady” encased in our GPS, it will take us more than 5700km to get home by the quickest route. She also said we’d be home by 8:35, but neglected to tell us which day!

IMG_6051 We are on the west coast of the Cape Range, near the north end, more or less opposite Exmouth. There is a chance somewhere around Carnarvon may be further away, but its westness may be hampered by its southness in the distance from home stakes.

Stay tuned!!!
