Monkey Mia today was a scene of rare good luck. Elliot and Louis would like to tell you that they were picked out of the crowd (along with perhaps 10 others) to have the honour of feeding a fish to Surprise, the friendly dolphin. I have video of the actual event, so no stills. If I was more organised I could put video links on the blog, but I’m not, so you’ll have to chase me when I get home.
Hello to all the animal-crazed friends in 1S!
Hello to everyone,
ReplyDeleteWow, Year 1S have just looked in to see where you were now and we are very excited to see what you've been doing. There were lots of questions for you Elliot! Many of the class wanted to know if you were scared when you were walking up the hill (escarpment)? Eli asked if the dolphin bit you when you gave it the fish? Eliza said that the rock cliff was really big and Oliver wanted to know if any birds were nesting in the hollows? Our class map is looking pretty spectacular and it is really amazing to see where you have been. Your regular HELLO 1S are are real highlight as we look for it when we check your pictures. Thank you so much Elliot (and Louis, Lizzy, Mum and Dad) for doing this. UMMMMM Elliot... Would you be able to send us another postcard please. OK! I'd better go and think of an outfit to wear for tomorrows Book Week Parade... Bet you miss that one!
Cheers
Mrs Smith and 1S
Hi guys, just done a huge catch up on your travels since Broome. You have been busy!!80mile beach pretty impressive, I remember Marble Bar being hottest in Oz. Newman mining stats very mind blowing. Larissa just finished her Sturt's Desert Pea tapestry, one in the wild would look great. Seeing whales at Ningaloo would be really something as would the stromatoliltes at Hamelin pool. Hope your Dad is better Lynne. Monkey Mia and the dolphins would be very special and love the pelican photos.
ReplyDeleteBook Week parade was quite spectacular, portable stage finally arrived, ran down long southern side of hall for kids to use as catwalk. Mrs L-S wore her big cowgirl hat.
Flipperball supposed to start this week, yr 6's at Writer's Festival excursion!!Windsor fete last Sat made $75,000!! Wondered where you were on polling day, did $1200 profit at sausage sizzle, finished by 1pm.
You did well with no rain for 1st 2 months, hope doesn't get too wet for you. I remember Perth being cold and drizzly in Sept at volleyball nationals 2 yrs ago. You'll love the S-W, stunning green land and wild rocky coastlines, good caves and wineries, funny -ingup names. Recall lots of arium lillies everywhere as weeds and huge grasstrees.
Better head to bed. Hope first day of spring was a good one for you. Look forward to reading of your new adventures on your travels.
Cheers, Fiona and crew.
