Free Wifi at Comet Gold Mine NL

Can you believe it? I reckon the only reason this place is here is as a tax dodge, because as far as I can make out, they are not running the mine, they don’t do mine tours, and they just take $3 a head from tourists to look at rocks in the museum. They say there is still viable gold in the ground, but they will wait until the old equipment rusts to pieces, before sending it to Melbourne for a company museum, and then open up again. Meantime, they just have the museum as a caretaker.

I think I want that job. We’ve been here nearly 2 hours and there have been about 3 other cars. All very quiet.

Oh, and you get tea, coffee, milo and biscuits for our $6 as well as the free Wifi. Must be sus…

  1. Hello Elliot and everyone,
Thankyou for the HELLO sign from year 1.S. It is pouring rain at the moment and we have just come in from first break. Our class is really enjoying the fantastic photos. Tomorrow and Thursday we are having days off school. Mrs. Smith is really EXCITED about this. Some people are going to the EKKA on Thursday... OOOOPS! and some are going tomorrow (Wed). Everyone misses you Elliot.. and we hope you are having a great time.
    Cheers
    Year 1.S and Mrs. Smith
